What is Stitch Fix?
It is a clothing/accessory subscription service. You fill out a "style profile," share links to Pinterest boards or blogs (if you have them), and set a price range for each type of piece. Then as frequently as you would like, they send you a box of 5 clothing/accessory items. It costs $20 for the box, but that goes towards the purchase of anything you keep. If you keep everything you get a discount, otherwise, you send back what you don't want. For more info, check out the Stitch Fix website. If you haven't tried Stitch Fix yet and decide you want to, I'd love it if you'd use my referral link to sign up.Now I have to admit, this post was a little outside my comfort zone. My body obviously isn't back exactly the way I'd want after childbirth (although I'm not mad about my progress) and I'm not much of a model. But hey- a new experience! I have gotten several Fixes over the last 2 years, but never blogged one. So while this is not my first fix (I honestly have no idea how many I've gotten... maybe 10?), this is my first review.
it has been several months since I got a new Stitch Fix because I was waiting to not be pregnant any more. They had sent some great maternity pieces but I would rather spend more money on post-pregnancy clothes.
Just Black- Rogers Distressed Boyfriend Jean ($78)
Verdict: Kept
Loveappella- Lyoni Open Cardigan ($58)
I had also pinned several open cardigans so I was pleased to see this one in my box. I had gotten one in my last fix months ago that was way too small and super itchy. This one however, I am a big fan of. I especially like the longer length and the pockets!
Verdict: Kept
Alice Blue- Melrose Sheer Detail Blouse ($58)
The other thing I had requested was nursing friendly tops. This one buttons up so it fits that description. It also has a lot of detail in the top and the sleeves. The sleeves are a little tight right now, but hopefully when I start getting in shape in the next few weeks that will all change.
Verdict: Kept
Bancroft: Trisha Clover Charm Layering Necklace ($32)
I'm really not much of a necklace person. After seeing this item I immediately went and changed my Stitch Fix profile to say do NOT send necklaces in the future (which I thought I had done before, but apparently had not). I like the simplicity of this necklace and its versatility (although the clover shape kinda looks like the Girl Scout logo which is just kinda weird) but I had no intention of keeping it. Until I realized that it would be more expensive to send it back than to keep it.
Verdict: Kept*
Skies are Blue: Norra V-Neck Top ($54)
The fabric this top is made of is so comfortable! It also buttons up, making it nursing friendly, and I love the sleeves. The color is great too (although I will probably not wear it with jeans often in the future).
Verdict: Kept
Overall, I thought my "stylist" Christi did a great job. I ended up keeping everything which cost me $190 (+ the $20 styling fee) with the 25% discount. My next Fix is scheduled to arrive February 24th! I know Stitch Fix isn't right for everyone but I seem to be having luck with it. Have you tried it? What was your experience?
*If you want the necklace, it is yours for $20. Just let me know!
