Last week was a difficult one for America. July 4th and celebrating all things "American" are my favorite. I love red, white, and blue... apple pies... bbqs... fireworks... Colonial Williamsburg... you name it. What I don't love is the part of America's history that is ugly. That is still rearing it's ugly head. That exploded in ugly tragedies last week.
I hate the idea that social media is how we "fight battles" now, but I also know that it is a powerful enough platform that staying silent also says a lot. (Either way, I will potentially offend someone... but this really isn't about me.) I don't claim to have answers or be on a "side" or even have the right words. So instead I'm sharing just a few links to other people's words and platforms that have stuck out to me this week.
